A Life in Wood
Old-world discipline, applied by hand
Stefan Nolte has spent a lifetime shaping wood. He earned his training, skills and artistry in his native Germany, where traditional craftsmanship is measured in millimetres and patience.
In 2004 he brought that discipline to South Florida and founded The Woodmeister Inc, specializing in boat and yacht work alongside custom woodworking projects for homes. Over the decades since, his hands have shaped everything from curved marine cabinetry to architectural millwork — each piece built to last and finished to be admired.
He works directly with every client, from first sketch to final coat, because he believes fine woodwork is a conversation between the maker, the material and the people who will live with it.
How He Works
The Woodmeister standard
Built by hand
Every commission is crafted personally, not outsourced to a production line. The maker's hand is in every joint.
Engineered to last
Marine-grade methods and old-world joinery mean the work survives sun, salt and decades of daily life.
Fully bespoke
No templates. Each piece is designed around the space, the vessel and the way it will actually be used.
Finished to admire
From grain selection to the final coat, the details are obsessed over so the result feels effortless.
